Could it be time already? :: Augusta, GA Photographer

Yep, it sure can. I have my 16 week appointment to check on the twinlets Thursday at 3pm and it could be a big one. My doctor said that they check between 16 & 18 weeks for the baby's or in my case babies' gender!

So, just for fun, I created a poll for y'all to give your input. Check out the link below and place your vote as to what you think we're having. If you can't click on it just copy and paste it into your browser. I'll let you know as soon as we find out :o) Hopefully, the twinlets will cooperate and not hide their goods!

Childhood Innocence :: Augusta, GA Child Photographer

Caroline and Lily are two sweet little girls that I had the privilege of photographing on my birthday! Dressed in their best, we headed out to a location of the family's choice and it was wonderful!

We started out trying to get the girls posed together and I could tell very quickly that, as these things go, the kiddos were the ones that would guide the shoot. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. There is nothing better than capturing that childhood innocence, the real moments, their true spirit. We were able to laugh together and just watch as the girls explored their surroundings and played both together and separately.

Through the eyes of a child you will see the world just as it ought to be.

Watching kids investigate is such an amazing thing. You can practically see their minds absorbing everything. It truly makes me happy to watch their little faces light up with new knowledge and experiences.

While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is all about.

Thank you to the E family for letting me capture some of that childhood innocence and helping me to remember what life really is all about.

Large Family = Loads of Love :: Augusta, GA Family Photographer

I met the Evansons through the ortho program. Rich is a fellow ortho guy with my hubby and Kelly is one of the sweetest people I know. Every time I see these guys they blow me away! I get worn out by my one little guy so I have total respect for the Evansons and their 4, that's right, I said 4 boys!

This family is always on the go doing fun and exciting things. In fact, the night before this shoot Rich took the 3 older boys on a camping trip, which just goes to show that he is all about being involved. I love it! And despite their long, exhausting night everyone was cooperative and we got some great shots. Kelly and Rich, thank you so much for the opportunity. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Freezing a Moment in Time... :: Augusta, GA Family Photographer

With all of our busy schedules it's easy to overlook the little things that really matter. Despite how much we try to remind ourselves what is really important, we often get distracted by work, school, the kids, and the million and a half things in between. But it's those small moments that help keep the family together, keep them bonded, happy, and add to the chapters of your lives together.

A new chapter has recently been written for my friends. Christian had just left the military and was preparing to move himself and his family back to the west coast when, surprise...he was called back to duty. It's enough to stop you in your tracks and think, "What in the world? Now what?" So, now his family will still be moving back to the west coast, but without him as he will be deployed soon for a year.

I met up with Christian, Rachael, and kids to capture some sweet moments of the four of them together, which is sometimes rare.

Children grow so quickly that it's hard to bear even when we're with them everyday, it's even harder to know they are growing and that you are missing the small moments that you hold so dear.

So, Christian, I hope these photos will be something for you to treasure while you're away, just as your family will be treasuring them as they count the days until your return. You can let your boys know that...

"If ever there is a tomorrow, when we're not together there is something you must always remember, even if we're apart I'll always be with you." - Unknown

And that you cannot wait to see their smiling faces again because...

"The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family." -Thomas Jefferson
